Hrvatska olimpijska akademija u suradnji s Hrvatskim društvom olimpijske filatelije i memorabilije priredila je u lipnju, u Hrvatskom športskom muzeju u Zagrebu izložbu raritetnih maraka na temu olimpizma. Tom je prigodom Hrvatska olimpijska akademija napravila prigodni žig, prigodne dopisnice i razglednice, plakate te organizirala radionice za učenike i mlade športaše. Središnja proslava organizirana je u nazočnosti brojnih uglednika hrvatskog športa na 7. smotri Univerzalne športske škole

Hrvatski olimpijski odbor potpisao je sa Visokom poslovnom školom (PAR) sa sjedištem u Rijeci, sporazum o školovanju vrhunskih športaša za studijski program stručnog studija poslovnog upravljanja. Sporazum koji je sklopljen na neodređeno vrijeme, podrazumijeva određene popuste na školarinu u športsko-rekreacijskom centru Mladost u Zagrebu. Učenici osnovnih i srednjih škola iz svih županija, pokazala su svu mladenačku izvrsnost u brojnim disciplinama i športovima. Za koordinatoricu aktivnosti, negdašnju olimpijku Daniru Bilić (inače voditeljicu projekata olimpijskog obrazovanja i kulture u Hrvatskoj olimpijskoj akademiji) ove su manifestacije dio strategije olimpijskog obrazovanja nedvojbeno potrebnog kako bi budući naraštaji razumjeli da športski i životni uspjeh mogu imati uporište samo u etičkim olimpijskim načelima na kojima se više od jednog stoljeća razvija svjetski olimpijski pokret.

The delegation of Turkmenistan in Zagreb President and Secretary General of the COC Zlatko Matesa and Josip Cop hosted on May 25th, together with their associates, the delegation of Turkmenistan Olympic Committee (TOO), the Ministry of Sports of Turkmenistan and Organizing Committee of the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games. The preparations of Turkmenistan and its capital Ashgabat for the organization of the Asian Continental Games, which will be held in Turkmenistan in 2017 was one of the topics where the guests could hear practical experiences of Croatian sports architecture and environmental protection, presented by the architect Kresimir Ivanis, multiple awardwinner, doyen of sports architecture and longtime president of the COC Commission. Ivan Varvodic, Head of Department for Research and Improvement of Development Programs, talked about development programs for athletes and coaches, while Dragan Milanovic, regular professor of the Faculty of kinesiology at the University of Zagreb, and Zoran Manojlovic, Head of the Office for Antidoping at the Croatian Institute for Toxicology, presented the guests the close cooperation of these institutions in the scientific approach to sports development and protection of athletes from doping manipulation. Exchange of experience in these fields will be the basis for future bilateral cooperation agreement between the COC and Olympic Committee of Turkmenistan, while the Secretary General of Turkmenistan Olympic Committee, Azat Muradov, invited the hosts to return visit. The meeting was attended by the COC Head of Department for International Cooperation Ljiljana Ujlaki Subic and Ozren Muller, former athlete and alpine skiing coach, today PR consultant in sports. Celebrating the International Olympic Day in Croatia Celebration of the International Olympic Day in Croatia concerning the establishment of the IOC and establishment of the Olympic Games exactly one hundred and twenty years (June 23rd 1894)ago. Was richer this year for a number of activities confirming the continuity and unity of the Olympic movement up to date, as well as recognition of fair play, peace, friendship and solidarity in the society. In cooperation with the Croatian Olympic Academy (which is also the main organizer of the celebration of Olympic Day at the national level), Croatian School Sports Federation, Croatian Sports Museum, Croatian Olympians Club and - for the first time - Croatian Society of Olympic Philately and Memorabilia, the Croatian Olympic Committee managed to gather more than 2,000 students, 300 pre-school children, around 500 teachers and professors, heads of sports activities, around 200 volunteers, numerous Olympians and other top names of Croatian sports. Besides the traditional celebration with students' finals at the Championship in Poreč in May, the exhibition of works of elementary and high school students and students with special needs, selected at the competition under the theme „Winter Olympics“, was presented as well. All the participants were also given educational materials about the importance of Olympism and the Olympic Day at the global level. Pre-school children from Zagreb kindergartens showed their sports excellency and skills at the demonstration competitions in the hall Sutinska vrela in Zagreb, and particularly attractive was the promotional eco cleaning of the underwater area of the island of Brac, that included around 300 divers of the Croatian Diving Federation and members of the Association Eko Brac, who have also organised workshops on ecology standards and prepared educational leaflets on the importance of understanding the preservation of environment.
