ATTRIBUTED TO ÉDOUARD LIÈVRE, PARIS, LATE 19TH CENTURY, MOVEMENT BY JAPY FRÈRES decorated in the Chinese taste with birds, flowers and butterflies throughout, the clock of portico form with a circular case suspended from beast handles and having a stylized HMP monogram to the reverse, all supported on the backs of twin elephants, each threelight candelabrum of columnar form with a Buddhistic lion finial and flowering prunus branches raised on four elephant mask feet. Height of clock 20 inches.

MAISON MARQUIS, MOVEMENT BY LANGUEREAU, PARIS, 19TH CENTURY having an eight-day movement striking on a bell and a circular dial with Arabic numeral hours interspersed with gilt stars and Arabic numeral minutes at five-minute increments, the clock case cast with an urn suspending fruit and floral garlands over the dial with a tied ribbon above and a wreath below, the lower section of the case with a band of musical putti in relief, the stand cast with a mask and floral garlands. Height overall 35 x width 17 x depth 12 inches (with stand).
