Heath Ledet comes from South Louisiana, and music was the first calling in his life. Today Heath Ledet is a blues and Americana musician, singer, and songwriter, and the road back to that work ran through a full career in the oil and gas industry. That career began with a choice about family. As a musician, Ledet decided to put his focus on building a company that could give his family financial security. The decision led him into the power generation side of oil and gas infrastructure, where he grew Montco Oilfield Solutions. The business supported major oil companies with the power generation needs of their infrastructure. Music stayed with him during those years. In October 2013, Ledet released Chasing My Dreams, a collection of 10 songs: "Chasing My Dreams," "Wrapped Around Your Finger," "Too Good for Me," "Dirty Money," "You're Not Alone," "Forever," "We Dance," "Time Under the Sun," "Got My Eyes On You," and "Nothing to Lose." He made the record with other musicians. Pershing Wells is featured throughout, and individual songs also credit Todd Sorenson, Todd Adams, Randy Ellis, Kathy Ledet, Troy Percle, Cory Duplechin, Lonnie Lapeyrouse, Terri Chiasson, and Charles "Chucky C" Elam. The album is available on Apple Music, Spotify, Shazam, and SoundCloud. For more than 16 years, Ledet has made his home in The Woodlands, Texas, within the greater Conroe and Montgomery County area. The business chapter reached its close with the sale of Montco. Ledet sold the company to a large company that will continue to grow both the business and its employees, which meant that the company and the people who helped build it would carry on under new ownership. Ledet regards building that company as the professional accomplishment he is most proud of. After the sale, he retired from the power generation and oil and gas infrastructure business.
