The Secret Art of Terp Slurping

In the world of cannabis concentrates the penultimate dabbing experience is with terp slurper style bangers. Terp slurpers are relatively new in the dabbing scene but essentially are a new design on an old method of dabbing.

Traditional dabbing with quartz bangers involves a bucket style banger. With this type of banger you can either heat and apply your dab or use the cold start method. This involves placing the concentrate in the bucket and then heating the banger. Once you can see vapor appear stop applying heat and consume your cold start dab.

Why are terp slurper’s so exciting for dab connoisseurs? Well similar to the traditional bucket style banger, terp slurper bangers have an additional tube leading down to an open rounded tray/skillet. There are small slits in the bottom of this tube that allows airflow to continuously flow as the user inhales. This then creates a vacuum that allows the concentrate to percolate. When the user applies the top marble or carb cap the percolation keeps the oil in motion over the heated surface, preventing burning and allowing more time to inhale the vapor.

The major advantage of using terp slurper bangers is that it allows for the complete usage of concentrates in large doses. In fact, many terp slurper connoisseurs say you must “waste it to taste it,” to properly terp slurp. However, if you are a beginner the best advice is to start with small dabs. Traditional bucket style bangers would be Wbetter for beginners because these are designed for small dabs in mind. Terp slurpers are for experienced dabbers and those who require larger amounts of cannabis concentrates.

Terp slurper bangers are also great for low temperance dabs. When one engages in a terp slurp dab the concentrate comes in contact with the hottest part of the banger without the need of a directional carb cap. Terp slurper bangers also have increased surface area compared to the traditional surface area of bucket-style bangers. This means that the potential cooldown time for a terp slurper could take as long as 2 minutes. This enables the user to inhale large clouds of cannabis vapor. This also helps in reducing the risk of accidentally burning Benzene which is a carcinogen that is released when cannabis is heated above 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
