laws that also include the forbiddance to consume shrimp, lobster, or pork; laws that few if any people still abide by. The only harm that the wide acceptance of the LGBT community poses is the one done to society’s attachments to long-­‐held cultural norms; nothing more, nothing less. The uneasiness of LGBT opposition is a feeling based on fear, the fear of change, the fear of something that is different and unknown, and the fear of receiving the same hate by being associated with this minority. The real sin is not being gay. Instead it is the hate of those who harbor fear and resentment for a minority that is merely forcing society to reevaluate the cultural norms that it is attached to. I beg the question, “how could it be less sinful to stigmatize and subject a minority and their families to unnecessary hardships for the sake of upholding a rule that is briefly mentioned in the bible and doesn’t have any relevant or discernible purpose?”
