USF, 2010 SECOND SEASON AT GEORGIA TECH
Marcela Oliveira, a former standout volleyball player at South Florida, enters her second season at Georgia Tech and works primarily with the outside hitters. After one season at Georgia Tech, Oliveira helped the offense swing more efficiently with a better hitting percentage than a year ago (.216 to .182).
Oliveira started her coaching career as a graduate assistant at Southeastern Oklahoma State University for the 2010 season. She worked specifically with the outside hitters and assisted with recruiting. A standout outside hitter at USF, Oliveira played for the Bulls from 2006-09 where she earned three BIG EAST all-conference honors. She also received three all-region and All-America (a program first) accolades. Prior to the 2009 campaign, Oliveira was tabbed the conference preseason Player of the Year.
Taylor McColskey enters his second season at Georgia Tech where his primary responsibilities are scouting and video breakdown, training middle blockers and coordinating recruiting visits. McColskey joined Georgia Tech from Jacksonville. In 2013, he helped the Dolphins improve to a 30-4 record from a 10-24 record a year prior, and win the 2013 Atlantic Sun Tournament. He assisted middle blocker Kylie Jacob to earn second team all-conference honors and earn all-tournament team accolades. Prior to joining the Jacksonville staff, McColskey worked for a variety of volleyball clubs over the last six years throughout the Florida region, including Ocean Breeze, Jupiter and most recently the Instinct Volleyball Club. McColskey served as an assistant coach for the boys’ USA Select A1 team at the 2013 USA High Performance Championships. McColskey played two years (2007-2009) as a defensive specialist and outside hitter at King College in Bristol, Tenn. He graduated from Palm Beach State in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in supervision and management.
She finished her Bulls’ career ranked second all-time in kills (1,801) behind Coach Collier’s program record 2,729 kills. She is also fourth in aces with 219 and ninth in digs at 1,079. Following her collegiate career, Oliveira played professionally for AYS Volleyball in Argentina for the 2011 season. She also played for team Florida Wave in the Premier Volleyball League in 2012. A native of Fortaleza, Brazil, Oliveira graduated from USF in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in physical education. Oliveria married Julian Riley in August 2012.

FIRST SEASON AT GEORGIA TECH
Henrique Randow is a Brazilian volleyball player who competed at the 2002 FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship when Brazil claimed their first championship. Henrique has played professional volleyball for 18+ years in Brazil and Italy. Randow accomplishments: Brazilian Professional League Best Blocker - 2000-01,2001-02 Order of Merit awarded by the President of Brazil, Fernando Henrique Cardoso - 2002 Ambassador of the Brazilian Olympic Committee for lifetime achievements in the sport of volleyball by the Brazilian Olympic Committee - 2014 FIVB World League Champion - 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005 FIVB World League Runner-Up - 2002 Champions Cup Runner-Up - 2001 FIVB World Champion - 2002 FIVB South American Champion - 2001 FIVB America’s Cup Champion - 2001
RAFAEL SILVA VOLUNTEER ASSISTANT COACH SECOND SEASON AT GEORGIA TECH
Rafael Silva came to Georgia Tech after spending 2013-14 at the Director of Instinct Volleyball Club Jacksonville. He served as the Head Coach of the 15U team and as Assistant Coach of the 14U team. His 14U Team won the Big South National Qualifier, finished second at the Disney Showcase and qualified for Junior Nationals. The 15U Team qualified for Junior Nationals. Before he joined Instinct Volleyball Club, he sustained a great professional playing career in Europe. Here in the USA since 2008, Silva spent two years working with the Tampa Bay Juniors Volleyball Club as a head coach for the boys and girls programs. His boys’ team won the AAUs National Championships in 2009 and finished 3rd in the country also at AAUs in 2010. During the fall of (2009-2010), Silva worked as an assistant coach at Berkeley Prep High School, helping the girls’ team to a 29-3 mark and a 3A state championship in 2009 and helping the boys’ team to a ranking of second in the district. Before his start in coaching, Silva was a standout pro volleyball player in his native country of Brazil, as well as Spain, Portugal and Italy. He has played with and against top players in the world during his professional career. During his 2003-04 season at Tarragona Volleyball Club in Barcelona, Spain, he helped the squad to a top-five finish in the Spanish Division I League while ranking in the top 10 in scoring, digs, blocks and points. He also played with the Vigo Valery Karplin group in Vigo, helping them to a top-10 spot in the Spanish Division I League while serving as team captain and top scorer. He competed in European Championship Tournaments in Portugal and Italy. Silva also has an extensive knowledge of beach volleyball. Growing up in the sands of Rio de Janeiro, he has competed at national level tournaments against Olympic level players. Silva is married to Georgia Tech head coach Michelle Collier, and the couple has two children, Tais and Rafael.

Oliveira came to Georgia Tech after spending 2013 as the assistant coach for the Jacksonville Dolphins. While there, she served as the recruiting coordinator, and helped the program win the 2013 Atlantic Sun Tournament and earn the school’s first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2004.
