High School: Lamar County HS... played under coach Frank Stephens... helped lead LCHS to a 14-1 record and a runner-up finish in the state playoffs as a senior... played quarterback on offense and in the secondary on defense... rushed for 1,097 yards and 19 touchdowns, and passed for 827 yards and 12 TDs with just one interception as a senior... had 44 tackles, eight pass break-ups, three interceptions (one for a TD), two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery... also participated on the track and wrestling teams.
