A NGELA JONES
INTERNATIONAL ATHLETE & TRIATHLETE
For over 25 years I have been swimming, kayaking, running and wild camping in the most wonderful place in the world ‘The Wye Valley’. My Racing is always enjoyment and pleasure, in training I never worry about times and distance as I run as far and as fast I want. ‘I never get lost, because I don’t know where I am going’. Together with my faithful rescue dog ‘Jack’, I can always be seen on or in the River Wye. He works alongside me in my business www.run-wild. co.uk when I am coaching fitness and adventure on the Wye. Which includes wild swimming, kayaking, trail running and body strengthening. I work with all abilities and ages, and help my clients personal fitness levels improve in the great outdoors.
My life philosophy is the “the only way to enjoy fitness is to make it fun”. I organise adventure days through my business www.run-wild.co.uk, plus weekends and wild swimming sessions as well as one to one personal training. I have made my way of life my business and have the best job possible.
“I work with all abilities and ages, and help my clients personal fitness levels improve in the great outdoors.”
Diversity and the spectrum in the outdoors offers a great lifestyle, this has lead to many independent traveling trips around the world throughout the years. My most memorable competition was Alaska in the World Championships. I love the solitary of extreme trips away and sleeping in the forest wild. The body and soul is an amazing thing and that is where the Wye takes me… 62
