This issue’s Cover Story cart features Excessive Carts is a Dallas/Fort Worthbased custom golf cart dealer that specializes in… EXCESS. These custom carts are not your run-of-the-mill rebuilds. Excessive Carts are something different altogether. Think Kevlar, brush guards, top-end stereo systems, beefy suspensions, custom-molded dashes. This is one super cool golf cart built by a cool company. Summer is just finally here and this all new custom build by Excessive Carts is ready to tear up some sand at the beach. With a cool Tiffany blue custom paint job, custom painted MODZ canvas top, “steelie” custom color matched wheels, white wall tires, a killer audio system and much more.

Mike H. a resident at Windsong Ranch in Prosper Texas said "We need a cart to be built around my paddle board.; We take our paddler board to THE LAGOON, it’s a 5-acre, tropicsinspired amenity, with clear Caribbean-like water and sandy beaches, right in our neighborhood. Going through the design process, picking out the hard to find matching colors off Mikes Paddle Board was something to be said. "You really want to build a cart in these colors, it would be easier and more of a financial decision to just get a new board" owner, Rob Wallach commented. Mike was still determined to move forward with the color combination. We showed him the Tower Top from MODZ that we would have to customize even further to accommodate cup holders and his 12' paddle board. Then he chose a Phantom Body for this 6-seater to be painted by LRM Customs in Fort Worth TX completely in Tiffany blue including all the trim.

There are 8” tires with white walls however searching high and low for 10” white walls were a difficult adventure on its own.

After serving 20+ years in the USAF and owner/operating multiple car audio shops in Louisiana and Alaska, they settled in small town of Prosper TX. They opened up Excessive Audio in Prosper and never thought we would get into the golf cart business, but it took a contract from a local golf cart company and ended up building 100% of their carts for almost a year. Shortly after that they opened Excessive Carts and enjoying every minute of our decision.
