President’s Corner

Hello All:

We are now in the midst of the mid-summer monsoon season. Last year we had almost no rain here in the valley. This year we are making up for lost time. It rained 2.5 inches here in Scottsdale just yesterday and there is flooding everywhere. I managed to take my car in for service and a wash and got home just in time before the heavy rains hit. It is also fortunate that there are no driving tours scheduled right now as they would likely be cancelled.

We are in the process of revising a number of important club policies. Based on some recent events we are creating some new safety rules for Driving Tours and we are also revising and working towards revamping our Club Photo Gallery policies and methods. You will see the changes in the near future at the Driving Tour event documentation and also our club’s photo gallery (Smug Mug).

We would all like to congratulate Angela Manente (Our Going Places editor in Chief) for taking 3rd place in Class 5 of the PCA national club newsletter competition. Way to go Angela !!!!

Our club web masters/designers Jack Arnold and Kevin Gilchrist also took 4th place in the website competiton. Way to go Jack and Kevin !!!!
