In February we had our Valentines Drive at Horton Country Park. This event was very well attended with members coming long distances to take part. It is quite a spectacle so early in the driving season. Thanks to the Rangers at Horton Country Park and Lawrence Saupe and Dave Steer for their help on the day. In March Gail Brownrigg arranged another evening at the Hurtwood Polo Club this time with guest speaker Colin Pawson giving a wonderful talk on Coaching. It was good to see so many members and friends attending. April saw our BDS Area Trec at the Bookham Equestrian Centre which was as usual organised by Helen and Dave Pritchard. A lot of work goes into this event and it is much appreciated. The weather was kind and we had a good entry of competitors coming to enjoy the day. This year our overall winner was a delighted Cherry Chidwick with her pony Crossfields Tommygun.

We are still looking for more venues to hold BDS drives, so if you would like to host a drive can you also please let Pearl know. Even if you can only cater for two or three turnouts it would be good to be able to offer more drives to our members.
