PURSUE ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE Built upon a tradition of academic excellence, Georgetown McDonough is distinguished by its focus on a values-based approach to business, a global mindset, and preparing students to lead within critical fields of the future, including AI and the future of work. The Georgetown McDonough MBA is designed around three pillars: Curriculum, Community, and Career Pathways. We deliver our integrative curriculum through distinct MBA formats curated to your professional trajectory: Full-time, Part-time, and Online. Across every format, you will learn from renowned faculty through a curriculum that integrates AI and data literacy, ethical decision-making, and experiential learning to prepare you for leadership in a rapidly evolving business landscape.

"Georgetown McDonough was instrumental in helping me achieve my career goal to pivot into investment banking. I received tremendous support from the Career Center, peer advisors, and alumni who provided me with guidance throughout my recruitment journey and internship." — Anya Pandit (MBA’26)

CURRICULUM Our curriculum combines business fundamentals with the leadership, analytical, and communication skills needed to navigate today's complex business environment.

Hoya Way: Begin your MBA experience with an immersive, multi-week program that builds quantitative skills, explores ethical decision-making, and introduces key business concepts.

AI at the Forefront: Rather than a standalone specialization, AI is embedded throughout your academic journey, including through an AI Boot camp, Applied AI Lab and AI Leaders courses, and an array of elective choices.

Global Business Experience: Apply classroom learning through an international consulting residency. Students partner with organizations to solve real-world business challenges and present recommendations to executive leaders.

Executive Challenge: Conclude the Full-time Leadership Communications course by participating in a live business simulation, where approximately 150 alumni serve as senior executives and provide real-time feedback on your executive presence and decision-making.

COMMUNITY Learning extends beyond the classroom through experiences that strengthen leadership, collaboration, and Georgetown's commitment to serving others.

Ethics Project: Students receive funding to bring their ideas to life through a hands on project that creates meaningful community impact. Guided by Georgetown’s commitment to being People for Others, students partner with organizations locally or globally to turn values into action and make a measurable difference.

Small Business Corps: Partner with small businesses across the Washington, D.C., region to develop strategic solutions for real-world challenges, from market expansion and financial planning to operational growth. Gain hands-on consulting experience while creating meaningful impact for local entrepreneurs and organizations.

CAREER PATHWAYS Customize your academic experience to support your professional aspirations and recruiting goals.

Full-time Core: Tailor your curriculum by selecting the timing or focus of select core courses, allowing earlier exposure to subjects that align with your recruiting timeline.

Part-time and Online Core: Personalize your path by choosing the timing or focus of select core courses later in the program. Georgetown MBA |

PURSUE A GLOBAL MARKET The Global Business Experience (GBE) pairs groups of students with executives from different organizations – from startups to multinational corporations to Fortune 500 companies – to address complex business challenges. The experience starts on campus, where you spend six to eight weeks as a consultant, applying strategic and analytical theories to develop solutions as you work remotely with your clients. This required course and consulting engagement include a week-long in-country residency, during which students conduct research, present findings, and receive feedback from executives. Part-time and Online MBA students participate in the same high-impact global consulting opportunities as Full-time MBA students. McDonough’s focus on global business leadership continues to attract students who are eager to gain handson, practical experience in an international setting.

Destinations vary each year and have included Botswana, Egypt, Japan, Morocco, Turkey, and Zimbabwe.

Semester Exchange Full-time MBA students can spend the fall semester of their second year studying at one of McDonough's partner business schools across Europe, Asia, and South America. These immersive exchanges broaden global perspectives, strengthen cross-cultural leadership skills, and foster lasting relationships with peers from around the world.

Hoya Global Intensive Course Designed for working professionals, the Hoya Global Intensive Courses offer MBA students the opportunity to earn academic credit through a one-week international residency in Grenoble, France or two-week international exchange with WHU-Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar, Germany. Students explore emerging topics at the intersection of innovation, technology, and data while collaborating with faculty, global classmates, and business leaders in two of Europe's leading innovation ecosystems.

"The GBE is one of the hallmarks of the Georgetown MBA; it brings together classroom learning and team collaboration to solve a real-world problem. When selecting a project, I wanted to go somewhere I had never been before, and work on a challenge outside my prior experience." — Hadi Uppal (MBA’25) Georgetown MBA |

Programs like the Georgetown Dialogues Initiative, the Business of Sustainability Initiative, and events hosted by the Baratta Center for Global Business Education have been invaluable for networking, learning, and understanding how business leaders are thinking about climate, policy, and innovation. These forums allowed me to connect classroom learning with real-world impact and deepened my understanding of how to drive systemic change."
