A Futuristic MPV For Modern Families

The revolutionary styling of this 7-seater MPV gives off a futuristic vibe that makes the Hyundai Stargazer the perfect match for modern families who want to be at the cutting edge of life’s adventures.

Even from afar, the Stargazer is instantly recognizable with its horizontal LED strip across the hood, integrating daytime running lights and positioning lamps. Multi-face reflector headlights bookend a bold skid plate and flush radiator grille. Its one-curve silhouette is sleek with an ovoid roof line for improved aerodynamics as well as a roomier interior. Finally, a distinctive H-signature tail lamp spans the entire rear to complete its visual identity.

Its powertrain is a Smartstream G1.5 gasoline engine that is capable of producing a maximum power output of 115Ps at 6,300rpm and maximum torque of 143.8Nm @ 4,500rpm mated to Hyundai’s proprietary intelligent variable transmission (IVT) that delivers smoother and more responsive gear shifting as well as better fuel efficiency.

Inside, seven adults can enjoy a comfortable ride, thanks to a roomy interior with flexible 2nd and 3rd row seat configurations. Thoughtfully placed amenities and storage spaces optimize comfort and convenience for everyone.

The 4.2-inch TFT-LCD cluster is a driver-friendly interface that features a digital tachometer, speedometer, fuel indicator, and other vehicle information synced with the four drive modes — Eco, Smart, Comfort, and Sport. An 8-inch touchscreen display has wireless phone projection for Apple Car Play and Android Auto. For connectivity, it has two device holders and six chargers, including a wireless charger below the AC panel.

Convenient Technology

Smart controls allow the driver to remotely start the ignition as well as open/close windows through the smart key. It has a tire pressuring monitoring system, an emergency stop signal, and hill-start assist control for added safety.

The Stargazer is equipped with Hyundai SmartSense Technology, a cutting-edge driver-assistance system to keep both passengers and pedestrians safe, as follows:

Driving Safety

• Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) – alerts the driver if the system detects a risk of collision from the front like sudden slow-downs or stops. In emergency situations, the system will automatically apply emergency braking.

• Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) – makes use of the front-facing camera to detect lanes and alert the driver if the vehicle deviates from its route without using proper turning signal and automatically steers the wheel to keep the vehicle in its position.

• Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance Assist (BCA) – monitors blind spots while driving by alerting the driver through the rearview mirror. Designed particularly for moving out of parallel parking spots.

• Safe Exit Warning (SEW) – sends a cluster message and a warning by turning on the side mirror warning light when a vehicle is approaching from behind while someone is opening the door.

• Driver Attention Warning (DAW) – analyzes the driver’s attention level and provides a warning as an alert to stay active.

• High Beam Assist (HBA) – switches the high beams to low beams when the system detects an oncoming vehicle on the opposite side of the road.

Driving Comfort

• Lane Follow Assist (LFA) – utilizes the frontfacing camera to recognize lane markers and controls the steering wheel so that the vehicle stays on its lane.

Parking Safety

• Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist (RCCA) – monitors rear blind spots with radar and issues an instrument cluster message, plays a warning sound and turns on the outside mirror warning lamp if a vehicle is detected. Should the driver fail to take action, the system automatically engages the brakes to prevent collision.

• Reverse Parking Distance Warning (PDW-R) –uses an ultrasonic sensor system to detect obstacles behind and provides an audible warning when danger is detected.

• Rear View Monitor (RVM) – provides a live rear view while driving in reverse and displays the projected trajectory while backing up.

The Hyundai Stargazer is offered at three trim levels: 1.5 GL IVT, 1.5 GLS IVT, and 1.5 GLS Premium IVT. Four color options are available: Creamy White Pearl, Dragon Red Pearl, Midnight Black Pearl, and Magnetic Silver Metallic.
