Contests Several contests, with both team and individual competitors, were held.
Awards The section’s annual business luncheon and awards ceremony celebrated the current roster of statewide officers and inducted the new officers for 2022-2023. Awards were also given for the best papers and the outstanding volunteers in the water field. See pages 46-50 for award recipients.

“Best of the Best” Water Taste Test The statewide tap water taste contest was held at the conference. The competition brings together all the regional state winners to compete for the “Best of the Best” Water Taste Test title. The judging is all subjective and is not scientific in any way. Samples are judged on taste, color, odor, and clarity.
