SCENE TIP:
Resilient East Nashville survived a category EF3 tornado in March 2020. The twister lifted the spire right off of East End United Methodist Church and severely damaged the beloved music venue The Basement East, among other buildings. There are scores of small businesses to support in neighborhoods including Five Points, McFerrin Park, Lockeland Springs, Inglewood and more. From Shelby Park, you can catch a glimpse of Tennessee’s only functioning lighthouse. Built in 1889, the 39-foot tower marks the intake for Nashville’s Omohundro Water Plant.
