We are pleased to honor exceptional products that were on exhibit at CEDIA Expo 2023. This digital Program Guide features all the nominees in the 2023 awards program and highlights the winners. The Future Best of Show Award at CEDIA Expo 2023 is given by Residential Systems, TWICE, and What Hi-Fi?. Exhibitors were allowed to submit one or more products for consideration by these publications; they pay a fee for each nomination. Winners were selected by panels of professional integrators and editors based on descriptions provided by exhibitors via a nomination form as well as on judges’ inspection at the convention. This Program Guide reproduces the nomination text and images submitted by the exhibitors. It is divided into sections that list all nominees, sorted by publication; the winners are indicated by an award banner on the top of the page. The awards program allows companies to tell you in their own words why they believe a certain product is noteworthy; and this Program Guide offers an excellent sampler of new technology from the convention floor. t Portal, our team of developers works in one week sprints, which means almost every week there is something new or improved in Portal. This year we’ve been very busy building some key features that dealers have been asking for. Here are a few:

Improved QBO Integration

At CEDIA, we’re showing a completely overhauled integration with QuickBooks Online. Pushing a Proposal that you built and won in Portal into QuickBooks for accounting is as easy as pressing a button. Additionally, our new updates give dealers more flexibility and control, like being able to edit items and add prefixes before they are created in QuickBooks, making it easy to search existing QuickBooks item and customer lists to find the correct match, and having more control over item types and

fields before items are created in QuickBooks. This means less time in QuickBooks cleaning things up, and more time focused on winning jobs and getting paid.

QBO Payments Integration

We launched our award winning Payments functionality last year, which included Payment Processing through an integration to Stripe. However, many dealers get paid faster with Quickbooks Online (QBO) and some have better rates, so we integrated directly into QBO Payments. When the customer signs and accepts the proposal digitally, Portal auto-calculates the amount due for the deposit and presents the customer with Payment options. The ACH and Credit Card payment options now can be connected to the dealer’s existing QuickBooks Online payment processing account, with the added benefit of being able to charge a

convenience fee for the credit card processing, which you can not do in QuickBooks. No more chasing customers for deposits after-the-fact or sending payment requests from inside QuickBooks.

Auto-attaching labor & accessories to Items

This new functionality from Portal allows dealers to create packages that can be added to a proposal with the click of a button. You can set up labor and parts as attachments to products. Additionally, you can set them to be the default attachment for all items in that category. This feature is anchored on all new intelligent item suggestion functionality that looks at your account activity and industry popularity to suggest related items.
