Police patrol

with Brodie Cowburn

Teen arrested after car chase POLICE arrested a 17-year-old boy from Seaford after an alleged pursuit across the Melbourne CBD last week. At around 11pm on 17 March, police spotted a white BMW they allege was stolen in Footscray. Police followed the car to the CBD where they attempted to pull it over, but the driver allegedly fled. The Police Air Wing followed the car. The BMW made its way to Chadstone, then to the intersection of Dandenong Road and Warrigal Road where it collided with a truck and rolled. The driver got out of the BMW and was arrested by police.

Alleged drunk driver loses her license A WOMAN has had her car impounded after being caught driving while allegedly more than four times over the legal blood alcohol limit in Frankston. Police pulled over the 47-year-old woman on Fletcher Road at around 8.30pm on 31 March. Police allege that her roadside breath test was positive, and that she returned an evidentiary breath test reading of .210. The woman’s Honda Civic was impounded for a month, and she had her license suspended. She is expected to be charged with drink driving and failing to give way.
