Police patrol Drug raid haul TWO Harley Davidson motorcycles, cars, cash, gun, ammunition, jewellery and drugs were seized by Frankston and other detectives during raids on houses in Seaford, Frankston South and Cranbourne last week. A Seaford man, Seaford woman and a Frankston South man were arrested prior to the raids which formed part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in the southern suburbs. A Cranbourne West man was also arrested. The offenders were nabbed Wednesday afternoon by Southern Metropolitan Divisional Response Unit officers, Special Operations Group, Dog Squad, Echo Task Force, Australian Federal Police and Frankston police. The 28-year-old Seaford man was apprehended in a Frankston shopping centre car park about 12.20pm. A search of his home later led to the seizure of two vehicles, cash, and “significant items of jewellery” which detectives allege are proceeds of crime. A quantity of what is alleged to be cannabis and steroids were also seized. The man was charged

with Brodie Cowburn with numerous offences, including trafficking a commercial quantity of drugs of dependence, and remanded in custody. He is due to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court for a filing hearing on 24 October. The home of the 27-yearold Cranbourne West man was searched and a number of items seized, including two Harley Davidson motorcycles, car and cash. The man was also charged with drug offences after a quantity of what is alleged to be cocaine and methylamphetamine was found. He faced Frankston Magistrates’ on Wednesday and will reappear in December. A 30-year-old Frankston South man was arrested in Bayswater and his Nolan Street home searched at 3pm. A firearm was seized. The man was released pending further inquiries. A 23-year-old Seaford woman was arrested at her Chiquita Avenue home. Police seized firearm ammunition and what is alleged to be cocaine. The woman has been charged with breaching a community corrections order and bailed to appear at Sunshine Magistrates’ Court in February. FRANKSTON Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a suspicious fire in Frankston last month. The fire was at the rear of some shops on Horne Street near Beach Street on 23 September at 4.30am.
