ERIC Bell Reserve is the latest home of a big election commitment, with the state Labor government pledging $500,000 towards upgrading the club rooms and providing female friendly football facilities. Eric Bell Reserve is home to the Pines Football Club, who were recently crowned MPNFL Division One premiers. Frankston MP Paul Edbrooke said “the Pines Football Netball Club has a very proud history, and with this upgrade, we’ll make sure it has a very bright future too.” “This upgrade will mean the next generation of Frankston North’s female sporting stars have the facilities they deserve,” he said.

Sport Minister John Eren endorsed the announcement, saying “community sports is all about bringing people together. With this investment, we’ll help make local sporting clubs, and local community, stronger than ever.” “Whether it’s hospitals, schools, upgraded roads or new sporting facilities, only Labor can be trusted to deliver for local families.” Pines Football Club are cross town rivals with Frankston YCW Football Club, which Liberal Frankston candidate Michael Lamb is president of. Frankston YCW play out of Jubilee Park, which also recently received a $10 million election commitment from Mr Edbrooke. Those funds are to be used predominantly for the netball facilities at the ground.
