Stolen car bangs up booze bus THREE teenagers allegedly fled a stolen car which then crashed into a booze bus in Seaford earlier his month. The incident occurred at around 3.45pm on 11 September. Police undertaking breath tests on Seaford Road say they saw a stolen Suzuki Swift approaching, then saw the occupants jump out of the moving car and flee. The car went on to scrape a parked police car and hit the back of the booze bus. No police officers were hurt. Three teenagers were arrested shortly afterwards at Fortescue Avenue. An 18-year-old Frankston man was charged with theft of motor vehicle, reckless conduct, and other driving related offences. He was bailed. Police let off two 16-year-olds from Frankston with a caution.
Tools, gun found POLICE found stolen tools and a shortened .22 caliber rifle during a raid in Carrum Downs this month. A 42-year-old man was arrested on 6 September. Police executed a search warrant on Thornbill Drive at 9am that morning, where
they allegedly found the tools and gun. Police charged the man with numerous offences, including 12 counts of theft from motor vehicle. He was remanded and appeared at Frankston Magistrates Court on 7 September.
Tow truck towed A TOW truck was impounded from the roads of Carrum Downs last week for being un-roadworthy. Police spotted the truck on Hall Road at around 12.30am on 13 September. They allege the truck had one headlight and had trouble slowing through a roundabout. The truck was pulled over shortly afterwards. Police also say it had bald tyres and was leaking brake fluid. The driver was a 26-year-old man from Clyde. Police say he underwent a preliminary oral fluid test, which returned a positive result. Police interviewed the man in relation to disqualified driving and other traffic offences. He is expected to be charged on summons. His truck was impounded at a cost of $1006.
