School upgrade begins WORKS are underway on upgrades at Mahogany Rise Primary School. The state government says the primary school will receive “upgrade and modernisation works, which includes integrating the on-site early learning centre”. Work began last month. Education minister James Merlino said the upgrade forms part of the $26.2 million Frankston North Education Plan, a partnership between the Department of Education and Training, the Colman Foundation, and the City of Frankston. “The education state is about making sure every young person has the opportunity to a great education and reach their full potential, and that’s exactly what the Frankston North Education Plan will aim to achieve,” he said Frankston MP Paul Edbrooke said “this plan has been designed with the local community and it will help local schools work together to in turn help students get rewarding jobs.” The works, conducted by Lloyd Group, are due to be completed in mid-2021.
