The charism of St. Francis of Assisi is simply to live the Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Francis centered his life on Jesus Christ the Son of God, who was born of the Virgin Mary. Franciscan life demands constant growth and conversion as proclaimed in Gospel values, including poverty, humility, care for the poor, and care for all of creation.
