Ebony Shalders has used her knowledge and experience from years working in both the hospitality industry and nursing, and combined them to create Lot 40 Kitchen, a readymade meal service providing nutritious, nurturing and delicious meals for those who are struggling to cook for themselves.

i Ebony, have you always been passionate about cooking? Can you share a bit about your background in food and hospitality?
I've often wondered where my love of cooking came from. With both of my parents being nurses and working shifts, cooking was never a priority in our house! I think it must have come from my Grandma, who brought her Lebanese heritage into the kitchen. As for my career, I've spent most of my adult life in hospitality, managing cafés and venues both locally and in Melbourne. You studied nursing while raising your children and have been working as a nurse now for many years. What do you 44 COFFS COAST focus
enjoy about your nursing role?
