Lora Francis, physician assistant, joined the cardiothoracic surgery department at the Essentia Health Heart & Francis Vascular Center. Francis has a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Mountain State University. Congratulations, also, to Essentia Health, on being honored for its stroke care by the American Heart Association. The award recognized that Essentia met eight core stroke measures. Essentia Health was also recognized this year by the Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center, which means stroke patients get fast, lifesaving, state-of-the-art care.

Amanda Erickson, RN was hired as resident care manager and Alicia Rask, RN, was promoted to resident care manager at Eventide Senior Living Communities. Erickson received her associates degree in nursing from North Dakota State College of Science and BSN from University of Mary. Rask has been with Eventide since 2011 as an MDS Coordinator.

Roger Hagen, civil engineer, served 40 years at Houston Engineering, Inc. Hagen has been responsible for project development, design, construction coordination and land surveys on municipal utility systems, rural water systems, private site plans, sport Hagen Korf complexes and land development projects. Congratulations, also, to Dan Korf who was hired as civil engineer for Houston Engineering, Inc. Korf graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. Emily Halvorson was hired as lead developer; Breanna Lage was hired as support manager; and Kurt Quiggle was hired as professional services manager Halvorson Lage Quiggle for Implementation Specialists, Inc. Halvorson has more than 30 years of industry experience in computer programming. Lage has more than seven years of customer service experience. Quiggle has 14 years of experience including, Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft SQL Server, business intelligence, integration and analysis and software project management.

Super lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.

Clint Gilbertson was named project manager of the North Dakota Advanced Manufacturing Skills Training Initiative (NDAMSTI) at North Dakota State College of Science. NDAMSTI was recently awarded a $2.7 million Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training grant from the U.S. Department of Labor. Gilbertson’s new role will include managing this grant for Gilbertson its duration, over the next four years. Congratulations, also, to North Dakota State College of Science on being awarded the CEO Cancer Gold StandardTM by the CEO Roundtable on Cancer. The accreditation recognizes NDSCS for its efforts to reduce the risk of cancer for its employees and covered family members by promoting healthy lifestyle choices, encouraging early detection through cancer screenings, and ensuring access to quality treatment.
