nn and Jeff Clark went to the Red River Valley Home & Garden Show this past winter with only one thing on their minds: ideas for their new master bathroom. Stopping by the Design & Living Magazine booth, the Clarks registered to win a $500 room makeover from Design & Living Magazine with consultation from Trever Hill Design. Little did they know, the couple that Ann Clark said, "never wins anything", ended up as the big winners of a modern new look in their great room. The Clarks built their beautiful Rose Creek home 20 years ago through Building Concepts, but have since remodeled much of the home to fit their current lifestyle. Initially, the couple signed up for the makeover thinking that if they won, they would naturally put it toward remodeling their master bathroom. The Clarks soon realized that $500 wouldn’t go as far as they'd like for such a big project. Hill's challenge was to take that $500 and make the most out of it in the Clark's already beautiful home. Seeing that the house did not need dramatic makeovers in any of the rooms, he focused on a few details to polish up the existing spaces. The makeover took on a new purpose when Hill started playing off the angles in the great room to create a comfortable and functional space for the Clarks to enjoy. This made a significant difference and gave the space a whole new cozy feel. Hill was inspired by a beautiful batik, dyed cloth that Jeff picked up while on a trip to Indonesia and a vibrant glass bowl that had been a fixture in the space.
