! MINIMUM ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

There are no prerequisites or preferred courses for admission to Law. Any 60 graded credit hours of universitylevel coursework will be considered for admission. Choose courses in which you have personal interest to increase your chances of earning high grades, as admission to Law is competitive. You can choose your courses from the Recommended Introductory Courses List. Minimum requirements are outlined in the Faculty of Law 2027-2028 Advanced Entry admission requirements.

TIPS FOR CHOOSING COURSES • When choosing first-year courses, consider the faculty or program you may want to enter in Year 2. Many students opt to complete a degree prior to admission to law school, so it's a good idea to consider the degree requirements of your second year faculty when choosing courses. • The Law School Admission Test (LSAT) doesn't assume any specialized knowledge, but is designed to measure your ability to read, understand, and reason. Choose courses that further the development of these skills. • You're strongly recommended to register in courses with a writing component. This helps you develop writing and research skills at the post-secondary level. • Contact an Academic Advisor in the First Year Centre to confirm whether Summer Term courses can be used to meet admission requirements for your target degree program.
