What is your favourite room in the house and why?
In the summer it’s the dining/living space because of the openness to the garden. In the winter the snug as it is so cozy, and we can watch the bird life through the window.
Who do you think will be the ideal new owner?
The house suits many different people from families to multi-generational living to those working from home.
What do you love most and why?
The house is ideally placed in the village, close to the centre but private and secluded.
What do you love about the local community?
Urchfont is a very active village with over 40 different clubs and societies as well as a local pub and a community run shop and Post Office. The most important place is the village duck pond!
How easy is it to commute from here?
Easy access to M4 and A303. Train connections from nearby Pewsey to London
What made you choose this property over others?
Rural location and potential for development. Devizes is a perfect market town with an open air market on Thursday morning
The ground floor accommodation is both spacious and versatile to perfectly suit family living. Leading from the entrance hall, the main reception spaces are both sociable and flexible with the formal dining area being open plan to both the living space and down to the garden room where you can enjoy panoramic views out over the surrounding gardens. The picturesque village of Urchfont forms part of the famous Pewsey Vale with surrounding rolling downland and countryside and won Best Kept (medium sized) village in Wiltshire twice. Whilst enjoying a quaint setting, Urchfont offers many amenities to cater to its residents’ needs including The Lamb Public House, the community-run shop, primary school and the nearby Planks Farm Shop and Mipo Café.
