PlayStation® Fiesta Bowl

The 2022 PlayStation® Fiesta Bowl was a game that will go down in history. The first-ever meeting of Oklahoma State and Notre Dame resulted in the Cowboys’ biggest comeback in both school and Fiesta Bowl history.

With the Fighting Irish leading 28-7 in the second quarter, the Cowboys knew they had to put up a fight. Oklahoma State scored 30 unanswered points to lead the game 37-28 with a little over two minutes left in the game. Notre Dame quarterback Jack Coan threw his fifth touchdown pass of the game to bring the score to 37-35 with one minute left to play, before Oklahoma State recovered an onside kick to cement the win. Both Coan (505 yards) and the Cowboys QB Spencer Sanders (496 yards) broke the Fiesta Bowl record for total offensive yards, set in 1991 with 431.

The Cowboys earned their third PlayStation Fiesta Bowl victory behind Sanders, who won Offensive Player of the Game, and Defensive Player of the Game Malcolm Rodriguez.
