Crandall Worthington
Since 1951, Crandall Worthington has been providing cleaning supplies, equipment rental, and repair services to both commercial and residential customers.
Current owner Chuck French started working at Crandall Worthington in the 1960s and worked his way up the ladder. French and a partner eventually brought out the original owners, and years later French brought out his partner. French has been the sole owner of Crandall Worthington for more than 40 years. He started with one building and slowly acquired the two buildings next door as well; expanding the company.
“There are customers who walk in and say ‘Chuck helped me get my business started 50 years ago.’” sales representative Becky Grant said.
What separates Crandell Worthington from other companies is their top notch customer service.
“We really go out of our way to help our customers.” Grant said. “We’re very hands-on with all our customers. They’re not just customers, more like a family to us.” Grant also believes their products are top-notch, too. “We carry commercial grade products. So, it’s stronger products but for the same prices as your big bargain stores.”
SOME OF THE JANITORIAL AND FLOORING SUPPLIES THEY SELL INCLUDE brushes, dusters, trash cans, paper products, heavy duty kitchen degreasers, porcelain and tile cleaners, carpet cleaners, stone cleaners, flooring finishes, flooring stains, and etc. They also rent heavy-duty equipment such as floor buffers, powerwashers, super 7 edgers, dehumidifiers, and more. Finally, they repair machines, including commercial grade vacuums, floor sanders, edgers, buffers, etc.
“Each job is a little bit different. Some things are speciality items, per your mission at hand.” Grant said. If there’s an item a customer wants but Crandall Worthington doesn’t carry it, Grant can order the product for them. Just another way to provide excellent customer service.
For more than 40 years French has been giving back to the local community by donating janitorial supplies (such as toilet paper, garbage bags, etc.) to local schools and churches. Churches he recently donated to are Brighton Assembly of God and St. Paul United Methodist.
French has created a family environment at Crandell Worthington, from his employees to customers, and it shows in their giving and employee retention. Most of French’s employees have worked at Crandell Worthington for more than 10 years; some over 20 years.
SO, IF YOU’RE PLANNING TO UPGRADE YOUR HOME THIS SUMMER, deep clean the stove, or start a janitorial cleaning business try Crandall Worthington. Grant said they welcome homeowners, DIYers, and commercial businesses. “We just want the community to know our doors are open to everybody.” Grant said. n
