In an effort to be prepared and to keep things tidy, here are 7 organizational tips to help you set up your nursery room (and other areas in the house) to welcome your new baby. 1. Pre-wash all the baby clothes, sheets, and burp cloths in unscented laundry detergent, then sort by size and type and arrange in drawers and in the closet. Some categories may include: socks, hats, and mittens, pajamas, onesies, swaddles and sleep sacks, burp cloths, etc. If you don’t have space for all the sizes you have on hand, use plastic bins or vacuum seal bags for each size, except for the size you expect your baby to wear when they are born.
