General manager to take business forward Precision farming technology specialist AS Communications (UK) has appointed David Bowman as general manager. David will be based at the company’s St Neots HQ, Cambridgeshire and will oversee all aspects of the business with the emphasis being on a high level of customer service and satisfaction. According to the company,
David has a long history in the industry having worked at Renault, Agco and Lely. He has spent a number of years working with precision technology to aid farm efficiency and profitability. This, combined with his farming background and on-going involvement with farming, ensures he has the knowledge required to take the business forward. AS Communications is Trimble’s appointed importer for Wales and the majority of England.
Tyre specialist role Apollo Vredestein’s UK office has appointed Jon Cottrell as OffHighway Tyre specialist for the UK agricultural and industrial sectors, to manage expansion of the company’s product ranges. Mr Cottrell joins the business bringing with him over 30 years of tyre industry experience, from warehouse to sales management positions.
“My career has mainly focused on commercial, agricultural and industrial/off-road sectors working with both manufacturers and retailers,” he explains, “and after six years spent successfully developing Mitas Tyre sales in the North, I look forward to putting my experience and Vredestein’s training to good use.” Jon reports to Apollo Vredestein UK country manager Karl Naylor, with a dual reporting line to the European Off-Highway Tyre head office in the Netherlands.

We require a full-time administrator to join our busy agricultural and construction support department at our Norwich branch. You will be responsible for controlling service processes to maximise administrative efficiency, providing support to the department’s managers and team of technicians.
