floodproofed to elevation 15, except for the firehouse. Because the firehouse is a critical facility, it would be mitigated to elevation 16. These elevations are required and dictated by FEMA flood protection design standards and are calculated by being 1 foot above the FEMA FIRM BFE of elevation 14 for non-critical facilities, and 2 feet above the BFE for critical facilities.
