We set off on Saturday 1st October, after applying sun cream – bizarre in October, to sample a Treasure Trail in our local area of Inkberrow, Feckenham and Astwood Bank. One Trail booklet and a pen are all you need. You follow the trail to solve the clues and then submit your answer for a chance to win a cash prize. Some Trails require you to solve a murder mystery, like ours, whilst others require you to find the location of hidden treasure or crack the code to save the world. The trail took us about 2.5 hours in total to complete on foot and in the car. This included a stop for drinks (it was very hot) and a toilet stop. We all thoroughly enjoyed it as it is a fun, healthy and educational way to explore your local area. There are over 800 Trails across the UK with more than 30 here in Herefordshire and Worcestershire so you can enjoy them on home turf or on holiday in the UK. Open Day at New Elizabethan School in Hartlebury The New Elizabethan School are hosting an Open Day on the 19th November 2011 from 10:30 AM till 4 PM. Along with Free legal advice on any education matter, we will be offering FREE Dyslexia Screening Test when booking in conjunction with the ACE screening test (£20) which shows a whole range of your child’s learning strengths and weaknesses from concentration and literacy levels along with levels of coordination. The ACE test is an excellent assessment to support SENCOs and teachers as well as parents in advising appropriate teaching strategies to improve your child’s learning and helping them to achieve their full potential.
