26th Annual Celebration of New Members
Tuesday, September 29, 2026 3:00 - 5:00 pm Pritzker Auditorium and Virtual
Dear Academy Members and Friends, Today, we celebrate the remarkable accomplishments of our new Academy members and recognize the faculty and staff receiving this year’s awards. This occasion is also an opportunity to reaffirm our shared commitment to advancing education and supporting educators across UCSF. This year, we extend our deepest gratitude to our outgoing Director, Dr. Ann Poncelet. Under Ann’s leadership, the Academy has grown in both reach and impact, including expanding its membership and interprofessional community; investing in educational innovation and early-career faculty; strengthening programs that promote inclusive excellence and opportunity; and embracing emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence in education. We are deeply grateful for her vision, leadership, and service. As I begin my tenure as Director, I am honored and excited to build upon this strong foundation. We will undoubtedly encounter changes and challenges ahead, and we will meet them together as a community. The Academy is both an engine and a catalyst for educational excellence at UCSF. By recognizing and investing in outstanding educators, and helping them mobilize their talent, creativity, and innovation, we can amplify their impact across our teaching community and ultimately enrich the experience of our learners, our faculty, and the patients and communities we serve. Congratulations to all those we celebrate today, and welcome to the Academy!
