St. Helier While the island holds appeal at every corner, you’ll no doubt spend some time in our capital, the mighty St. Helier. Liberation Square is the anchor-point at which most people find themselves when they begin exploring the island’s capital. There you’ll find the Liberation Statue and fountains. The bus station and Tourist Information Centre, are both a short walk away. Head down Conway Street and you’ll find yourself on King Street, the centre of St. Helier’s main shopping area.
