Evergreen Park is the largest events and entertainment facility in northwestern Alberta. It is located on 1,200 acres on the southern edge of the city of Grande Prairie. It includes a stadium, race track, casino, restaurants, horse boarding and riding arenas, outdoor movie theatre, 12 baseball diamonds, an archery centre, disc golf course and boreal wetland centre. The centre piece is the TARA Energy Services Centre - capable of hosting events for up to 2,000 with salons and meeting rooms for smaller events. Evergreen Park also hosts an energy show, agriculture show, home show, chuckwagon races and rodeos, light show and festival of trees and a multitude of galas and other fund-raising events. Evergreen Park is the only facility in northwestern Alberta that hosts live horse racing. The Wild Horse Casino & Lounge features a dozen screens, and betting machines, showing horse racing from across North Amrica.
