he Peak Fitness Club & Spa at the Carlton Tower Jumeirah hotel aimed to raise the bar for spa and wellness in London. During an 18-month refurbishment as part of a major £100 million (€117 million) renovation of the entire hotel, the extensive spa and wellness facilites were completely redesigned by design house 1508 London. Placing fitness and rejuvenating wellness experiences at the heart of its offering, The Peak is spread across three floors of the 17-storey tower, including a ninth-floor gym that capitalises on an abundance of natural light and stunning views over London. On the hotel’s second floor, the new Talise Spa offers facilities including a sauna, a pink salt crystal steam room, a Jacuzzi, and a truly iconic 20m swimming pool, flooded with natural daylight, that is said to be one of London’s largest indoor hotel spa pools. An exclusive retreat dedicated to wellbeing, the

spa has five treatment rooms and partnered with Aromatherapy Associates as well as 111SPA/Clinic for its treatment experiences. It also offers an extensive facial menu from Hungarian skincare brand Omorovicza. As well as a selection of tailored body and facial treatments, wellness therapies available at the spa include osteopathy, acupuncture, craniosacral and sound baths. For hotel guests, a selection of in-room treatments are also offered from the massage collection. Accessible only to a limited membership and hotel guests, The Peak Fitness Club team has introduced new concepts with Therabody and offers the latest Technogym equipment, fitness classes and gym facilities with breathtaking panoramic views across the capital. French textiles company RKF Luxury Linen has supplied a custom-made linen collection for the spa, 186 bedrooms and suites, plus a special kid’s range.
