Eumundi Voice donations Eumundi Voice magazine is published by the Rotary Club of Eumundi and supported by a large group of volunteers to ensure our community knows what’s happening locally and to raise funds. This year more than $20,000 was donated to community organisations, groups and families in need. Eumundi Voice is governed by Eumundi Rotary Initiatives Ltd (ERIL) the notfor-profit company which distributes donations. Recipients included: Katie Rose Cottage Hospice ($4,000), Eumundi Community Garden ($1,750), Rotary Foundation ($1,000 for mental health), Eumundi & District Historical Assn ($1,050) and tents and swags for the homeless ($2,263). At the annual Rotary Club of Eumundi’s changeover dinner on 7 July Les Godwin stepped-up to the plate for his third stint as president for 2022/23. Les was congratulated by past District Governor for District 9600 Eric Wood and last year’s club president Tex Pipke. The Rotary Club
ESS Enviro Centre
ESS Enviro Centre & Chaplaincy Eumundi State School (ESS) is always grateful for community support and thanked Eumundi Rotary for its donation of funds to purchase a new fridge ($1,800) for their Environmental Centre. The fridge allows students to store and preserve school-grown produce for future use which is an important lesson for students around optimising the current crop, preserving it, enhancing sustainability and eliminating waste. ESS Chaplain Chappy Sam said Rotary’s donation of $750 was very welcome to support the work of the Chaplaincy.
