Eric Nuss

Eric Nuss spent his early years in Omaha before moving with his family to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he finished high school. He went on to Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Education, with a concentration in science and athletic coaching. Later, he pursued an MBA at the University of Iowa, combining his academic background in teaching with business training that would prepare him for a career focused on leadership and consulting. Eric began his professional life as a middle school teacher in Colorado Springs. Teaching helped him develop valuable skills in patience, communication, and leadership that benefited him throughout his entire career. After several years, he transitioned into sales and sales management roles, which introduced him to business development and organizational leadership. Alongside this, he also coached youth baseball, where he instilled in his players the values of teamwork, discipline, and accountability. These experiences shaped his philosophy, blending coaching principles with professional leadership. Over the past two decades, he has worked as a consultant and advisor in the dental industry. His career has centered on supporting doctors and practice owners during acquisitions, integration, and rapid growth. He has provided strategy, leadership training, and operational guidance in finance, compliance, and human resources. His focus has been to allow providers to remain centered on patient care while practices gain long-term strength and value. Today, he continues this mission as Strategic Advisor at XpoDental, helping practices achieve sustainable growth and stability. A significant challenge he has addressed is the lack of business leadership training among doctors. While most are highly skilled clinically, many struggle with building practices that hold lasting enterprise value. This gap often leads to difficulties in selling practices and limited retirement options for owners.
