Apiro was the 2007 USDF Mid-States Region Champion Mature Stallion with scores to 87.4%. In 2008, he competed successfully in the regular working classes against the nation’s top hunters. He also has many championships in the amateur/owner hunter division. Apiro is a son of the legendary Argentinus. A successful advanced-level show jumper, Argentinus sired numerous approved sons, States Premium mares and became Germany’s youngest millionaire based on money won by his progeny. He was renowned for passing on his willing temperament to his offspring. Argentinus’ sire, Argentan I, produced many approved sons and States Premium mares and was highly-regarded as a broodmare sire. Absatz has stamped generation after generation with the type and unmistakable face of his sire Abglanz. From Argentinus’s damsire, Duden II comes the dynamic movement and impulsion of Duellant. Apiro’s dam, the States Premium mare Pyrah H, produced the show jumpers Perle, Pandora and Power Girl, as well as Rocci Balboa, who has had success in Young Dressage Horse classes, and the States Premium mare Airline. She also produced the approved stallion, River Phoenix, who won the Bavarian Championships and placed in the Bundeschampionat. Pyrah H is by the exceptional jumper sire Pilot, the first show jumping stallion with progeny to earn 1 million Deutsche Mark. Apiro’s granddam, Ceda H, is by the Cyklon son Cyrus. The Hanoverian-approved Trakehner, Cyklon, established a good jumper line and was regarded as a superior sport horse sire. Apiro is the sire of two approved stallions, Apiro’s Boy and Appeal. His progeny are proving to be successful on the line as well as in the ring. We are eagerly awaiting his next foal crop and happy to have this amazing hunter stallion in our lineup at Ryan Pedigo Hanoverians. Apiro is also GOV and Westfalen approved.

Argentum BSH, fondly known as Ace, bred and owned by Dove Butler of Butler Sport Horses, is a gorgeous 2009 Oldenburg gray Tobiano stallion sired by KWPN Tobiano stallion Art Deco, out of Seattle Slew granddaughter Sasia. Standing 16.2-H this extremely eye-catching boy has a heart of gold and an unbeatable work ethic that shows in his training sessions at home and in the competition ring. Ace was presented at the ISR Oldenburg N.A. Stallion Inspection in 2015 and obtained his Lifetime Certificate Breeding License with an impressive score of 228, which earned him his first Star award for Oldenburg stallions and impressed the judges with not only his dressage talent but with his skill and scope in jumping as well. In 2017, he earned his second Oldenburg Stallion Star in Sport-Test by achieving five of the required scores and top three placings at Prix St. Georges at just 8 years old with scores consistently in the 70s. With his natural talent for collection and can-do attitude, he has settled well into the FEI levels of dressage, showing off his powerful hind end and talent for self-carriage. In 2020, he earned USDF All-Breeds Open Champion at Intermediate II. In 2021, he proved himself a formidable competitor at Grand Prix, receiving comments such as “Cool horse!!!” and “Bright future!” His exceptionally kind attitude and remarkably good behavior make him a gentleman at home, on the show grounds and in the breeding shed. He will undoubtedly pass his agreeable temperament and willing attitude on to his offspring, making them a joy for amateurs and professionals to train and compete in dressage, jumping, eventing or hunters. He is a true homozygous black with bay genes. He also carries the flashy Tobiano for color and has a 50% chance of passing on gray. Ace’s sire, Art Deco, proved himself both in the show ring and as a top sport horse sire. He earned three prestigious star awards and was an Elite stallion. Art Deco competed successfully in Grand Prix dressage, hunters, eventing and jumpers. He is one of the very few pinto Warmblood stallions in the world to compete at the above-mentioned levels. He was the first pinto stallion in the world approved for breeding by the Oldenburg Verband via ISR Oldenburg NA in 1993, opening the door for all future colored horses and their offspring (including his sire Samber) to be registered/approved into German registries, such as Oldenburg.
