It provides basic and advanced life support services over 173 square miles in 11 municipalities throughout Lancaster County, as well as two each in Dauphin and Lebanon counties. Last year, the agency fielded 7,843 emergency dispatches, with an average response time of one minute, 46 seconds out the door and less than eight minutes on scene. The agency provides 24-hour coverage seven days a week with 40 full-time and 35 part-time staff members, as well as six volunteers.
In addition to providing emergency services, the agency conducts a wide variety of community education classes on topics including basic first aid, CPR, farm and home safety, fall risk and prevention
