e highlighted the relevance of cybersecurity for companies, especially in the gas sector, due to the large amount of information handled digitally. “Attacks are frequent. Even if we don’t realize it, there is an insistence on stealing identity and information,” he said. ATIO® Group offers perimeter security solutions to block any intrusion to steal information or disrupt operations. Alfonso explained that the threat is real and getting closer for all types of companies in all kinds of sectors. “The more banking transactions you have, the more information you exchange on the internet, the more exposed you are,” he warned. The company has established an
alliance with PDI Technologies to offer security services as an additional service to its customers. This means that the service station transfers the risk to ATIO® Group, and with PDI’s support, they guarantee the availability of the technology at any time. Alfonso Méndez also highlighted that they are responsible for configuring, monitoring, and responding to any failure. “The warranty is permanent; the service is permanent. It’s something like when you buy your telephone Internet service if the modem burns out, the technician goes and changes it. It is the same thing we are offering,” he explained. So far, ATIO® Group has installed around 70 security devices. One of the advantages the clients see is the updating and the agile and fast way the company can generate changes, either due to attacks, alerts, or needs. Alfonso emphasized the importance of prevention through actions focused on protecting information and preventing economic losses. “Cybersecurity is not something we must be aware that it exists, simply to function. The threat, the attack, without us realizing it, requires actions on our part to prevent any economic loss,” he concluded.
