utdoor living has been growing exponentially over the last few years, and the recent pandemic has elevated the importance of having private space even further. Moreover, now spring has sprung and the vaccination is here, things are looking up. Perhaps it’s time to go a little wild outside in our gardens and outdoor spaces as, let’s face it, we lost the norm over a year ago! Let’s think about creating stimulating and stylish spaces to inhabit differently – a new way of living in a personal playground. The 75-year-old brand GANDIABLASCO has expanded its catalogue by launching a new brand of outdoor furniture called DIABLA. Interestingly, they market it as: “not suitable for conventional tastes,” and indeed it’s playful, with a tremendous sense of theatre that evokes a sense of escapism— there’s nothing traditional about it other than comfort. However, there is no style over substance either; it’s serious design and technology that is thoughtfully designed and manufactured using only the best practices and materials. The new ranges Grill, Lilly, Arp, and Plisy Up are dynamic pieces that will spruce up any space with a contemporary aesthetic and extreme comfort. MUT Design’s Alberto Sánchez and Eduardo Villalón’s Grill collection has a simple, graphic structure made with square welded aluminium. The chairs, armchairs, tables, stools, and sofas are more than mere furniture, they are functional sculptures. Arp, designed by Borja García and Laura Ros, the founders of Made Studio, are tubular structured pieces. The series comprises an armchair, a two-seater sofa, and two low tables. Designed by Democràcia Estudio, the Lilly series pays tribute to the designer and architect Lilly Reich, professor of the Bauhaus. The two types of modular pieces in the collection are incredibly comfortable, thanks to the polyurethane rubber foam mattresses covered with waterproof fabric. Due to its PLISY UP
