Ceremonial Mace
During commencement, the president of the Academic Senate carries the ceremonial mace that represents the roles and responsibilities of El Camino faculty in the success of the college
Cap And Gown
The traditional cap and gown, known as graduation regalia, are worn by graduates during commencement El Camino graduates wear blue; commencement volunteers wear white Faculty and staff wear regalia appropriate to their academic achievements

Tassels
A tassel is worn on the right of the graduation cap . During the ceremony, graduates will be instructed to move the tassel to the left El Camino’s commencement tassel is blue; gold tassels are for students who had a cumulative 3 .5 GPA or higher when the graduation intent was filed


Stoles
An optional addition to commencement attire, stoles are sashes worn over the graduate’s shoulders during commencement to signify achievement in academics or activities
