El Camino College at 75: The Path of Our Dreams

El Camino College started with a vision and now has become the destination for higher education excellence in the South Bay.

In 1947, students came to El Camino for education and training that would transform their lives and help them set their communities on a path of growth and prosperity . In many ways, they were like our students today – recent high school graduates, veterans, lifelong South Bay residents; and many were the first in their family to attend college .

Since then, we’ve kept learning, growing, and believing that our purpose is to build a better community by offering education to all .

Because when the South Bay moves forward together, we’re unstoppable .

And now our newest graduates join the proud El Camino College legacy that spans 75 years . They are a permanent part of this place where thousands of learners, dreamers, and achievers got their start and found their path to change the world and make a difference in their community .

Today, we congratulate our graduates and celebrate the next generation finding their purpose and passion at El Camino College .
