A Great Day for a Greater Cause On Sunday, August 27, Jennifer Lary of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida discovered how many friends that she really has -- some of whom she had never met until that special day. On that Sunday morning in late August, 84 golfers (21 foursomes) from near and far gathered to take a stand and raise a few thousand dollars for Jennifer who has been

diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer. The setting for this fundraiser was the Atlantis Country Club (190 Atlantis Blvd, Lake Worth, Florida), one of the most well maintained golf courses in Palm Beach County. The organizers of this 8:00 am shotgun golf outing were her professional colleagues at Schwed Law, a law firm of personal injury attorneys in

nearby Palm Beach Gardens. The financial recipients of this fundraiser were Jennifer and her 11-year-old son Jacob. Jennifer is a single mom. By the day of the tournament, which was her 42nd birthday, Jennifer had already started an aggressive round of chemotherapy. Additional treatments will be decided at a later date. The timing of this fundraiser could not have been any better. All credit must be given to Schwed Law, which covered all the expenses associated with this golf tournament, so every penny of all funds raised by this tournament were given to Jennifer and her son as they both begin the biggest battle of their lives.
