Tabloid newspaper: Reports on celebrity gossip and human-interest stories and uses informal and sensational language.

Broadsheet: Reports on more serious issues, such as politics, the economy and international conflicts.

Biased reporting: When a journalist deliberately tries to sway the audience toward their point of view.
Opinion piece: An article where a journalist gives their personal opinion on a topic or event that has taken place. Newscast: A report of the news on television, usually containing a blend of live video footage, live reports and interviews on location, and studio reports and discussion. Speech: A non-fiction text communicated orally to an audience, often using persuasive language. Advertisement: A persuasive text, trying to convince people to buy or do something. These are created in different formats – for radio, for television, in print and as digital ads on websites, apps and on social media.
