YAC’S VIBRANT VIBES The YAC is putting on a free, family-friendly arts and wellbeing festival to celebrate our wonderful community. Vibrant Vibes will offer a range of entertainment, workshops, collaborative artworks, guest speakers and a couple of food trucks in a fun, relaxed atmosphere with something for all ages. The event will highlight the vast array of creative brilliance that exists locally as well as the amazing opportunities for mental, emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing that can be shared between parents and their kids or amongst groups of friends. Established and emerging musicians will soundtrack the Vibrant Vibes experience. Performing will be the likes of Z-Star Trinity, Boy Of Many Colors, Super Orbit and more. A program of free workshops including sound healing, ukulele, qi-gong, poi and staffs flow, vision board and other favourites from the YAC’s creative collection will be on offer and they are encouraging families to do these together. Together our strengths are our families and our community, and together we can discover creative solutions to the myriad of problems that arise along this journey of life.

16 DAYS OF ACTIVISM November 25 is the start of the 16 Days of Activism against Domestic Violence an annual event when the community pledges to say ‘no’ to domestic, family and sexual violence. The initiative, launched in 2008, was created to support the civil society-led 16 Days campaign around the world.

The YAC’s aim is to build hope for a wonderful future where we continue to support each other to be the best version of ourselves. See you at The YAC on the November 18 and 19 from 11am to 8pm. Bring a rug and spend some time in our beautiful surroundings, including our beloved future forest and permaculture garden.

Lives are lost every year due to domestic murder and trauma. Domestic and family violence creates a burden upon our future and our children – next year it will the 50th anniversary of domestic violence refuges in Australia. We ask you to make the pledge and say ‘no to domestic violence’.
