Approximately 6 miles southeast of Wittman Regional Airport. Parking is limited. Take a shuttle bus ($3 round-trip) from the Bus Park (G-11) or bus stop at the south end of the flightline (past the Ultralights area). Bus Hours: Sat 7/24 noon-5 p.m.; Sun 7/25-Fri 7/30 8 a.m.-8 p.m.; Sat 7/31 8 a.m.-9 p.m.; and Sun 8/1 8 a.m.-noon AirVenture admission wristbands required.

The Aircraft Spruce & Specialty Workshops Plaza is a great place to acquire some basic skills such as sheet metal construction, fabric covering, composite construction, wood construction, and gas and TIG welding. Check out the hundreds of forums at the Forums Plaza given by experts from all over the world. Or swing by the Homebuilders Hangar to talk with an EAA technical counselor or flight advisor.

The beautiful IAC Aerobatic Center is home to the International Aerobatic Club (IAC) during AirVenture. It’s also the place to attend aerobatic forums at the Vicki Cruse Educational Pavilion, shop for merchandise and books in the IAC gift shop, and sign up for an IAC membership. IAC staff and volunteers are available to show you around and answer questions.

Visit the Fun Fly Zone at the south end of the convention grounds to watch up close thousands of flights, takeoffs, and landings from the grass runway over the course of the week during these hours: • Powered Parachutes: 7-9 a.m. and 7:30-8 p.m. • Ultralights & Lightplanes: 9-11:30 a.m. and 6:30-7:30 p.m. • Rotorcraft: 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. • Twilight Flight Fest: Mon 7/26, Tues 7/27, Thurs 7/29, Fri 7/30 8-9:30 p.m. • Hot air balloon launch Sat 7/31 6 a.m.

The EAA Vintage Aircraft Association hosts hundreds of aircraft from show center south on the flightline.
Learn about owning, flying, and maintaining vintage aircraft at the Vintage Hangar, Red Barn Hospitality Center, Red Barn store, and bookstore for refreshments, unique Vintage gifts, and historical displays. Come by Interview Circle for rare planes and pilot interviews daily at 11 a.m.
WARBIRDS (L-6)
Hours: Thur 7/22-Sat 7/31 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Please note: Warbirds HQ hours are subject to change without notice.
See military aviation history come alive before your eyes. Award-winning aircraft on display on Warbird Alley. Visit the Warbirds Living History Group’s encampment, a mock World War II forward air base. Take a guided tram tour. Fly in a Red Bird Flight Simulator. Visit the Training Command Exhibit, Warbirds Store, Restoration Station, and Warbirds in Review Plaza.
Warbirds Tram Tours Hours: Mon 7/26-Sat 7/31 8 a.m.- 2 p.m Trams disembark every 20 minutes from Warbirds headquarters and the P1 intersection next to Warbird Alley. Both locations and the trams are clearly marked with Warbird Tours signs. Tickets are free, but registration is required.
