African Independent Television (AIT) on 1st March at 11PM aired a documentary entitled: ‘Unmasking the Real Tinubu.’ The one-hour documentary was aimed at showcasing the various properties and companies across Lagos and other parts of the country owned by Tinubu whom it described as “Nigeria’s biggest landlord.” It also said that Tinubu was “charged with narcotics” in 1993 in the United States. Tinubu is a former governor of Lagos State and the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Tinubu is seriously angry with the documentary. His lawyer, Tunji Abayomi in a letter dated March 2, 2015 and addressed to the management of Daar Communications Limited, owners of AIT, gave the organization 24 hours to apologize and retract the publication or face a N20 billion litigation. The letter stated in part that “We are surprised that your media house – and we hold you responsible for the documentary – lacks simple ability to know what is justifiable for publication or understand that freedom of expression does not include deliberate defamation of character.” Abayomi went on to say that since Tinubu was not running for po-

But after Tanzania began its efforts to curb the practice, activists say the criminals moved to Malawi. “Those who are in the business of selling body parts of albinos ... have established a market in Malawi, because it has become tougher to do business in Tanzania,” Massah said. Police have not commented on the matter. Several people have been arrested in connection with the recent killings of albinos but they do not include any foreigners. The spike in the number of slayings has scared many parents of albino children to such an extent that they have taken them out of school, the activist said.

India’s foreign secretary has met with his Pakistani counterpart on Tuesday in Islamabad for the first high-level talks between the rival neighbours since relations broke down late last year.
